Earthworks has a single, skilled landscaping team that completes all of our installations. One crew working on one project at a time allows us to maintain a high level of workmanship and to provide the best service to our customers.

 If you have been working with us on your landscape design, the process is simple. You will already have an estimate of the costs to build the landscape, so it is simply a matter of scheduling the work.

You may have a landscape plan that you developed yourself or that was drawn up by another designer. We can provide an estimate based on drawings supplied by you. If the plan that you have in mind is not too complex we can even work out the estimate based on your verbal description. During our initial meeting we will review your plan and walk through the site with you. If you don't have a scaled plan we will take the time to measure the site and sketch the basic site plan.

For a very simple plan we may be able to work out a rough cost on the spot, but more likely we will need to take a day or two to do the calculations. The estimate will be divided into several components so that you can see the relative costs of different elements of the project.

Once you have the initial estimate in hand, you may want to make some changes. You may want to add elements to the plan or you may need to simplify. If the estimate exceeds your landscaping budget you have a couple of options. The first is reduce the scope of the project. The second is to develop a multi-stage plan to complete the project over two or three years. We can assist you in setting priorities and help you to divide the project into managable pieces.

Once we have agreed on a price and have decided what portion of the work will be completed this year, it is time to schedule the work. During the busy summer months our waiting list can be from a week to two months long. During that time we will keep in touch and inform you of any changes to the schedule.

When we begin the work on your project, we will keep you updated on our progress and on the estimated time of completion. One of the major advantages of hiring Earthworks is that as a small company we are very flexible and responsive to change even once the work has begun. As the work progresses and the landscape takes shape you may wish to make changes to the plan. We always welcome your input and will do our best to implement any changes you recommend.

On completion of the work we will leave you with full instructions on the care and maintenance of your new landscape. And remember, all of our work is covered by a one year guarantee. Never hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
