Locally quarried limestone, known as tyndallstone, is a popular and affordable choice. Slate flagstone can be found in a variety of colours and textures. Patio slabs and concrete pavers are produced in an ever-increasing range of styles and colours.

Retaining walls are used to control slopes, define shrub beds and enclose patios and sitting areas. They can be built with large timbers, natural stone or a variety of modular concrete blocks such as Stack Stone or Pisa.
